The Arena kickboard is an essential tool for swimmers looking to improve leg strength and endurance, as well as refine their kicking technique. You can use the kickboard to practice front crawl, butterfly, breaststroke, and backstroke kicks. It makes your workout more enjoyable and allows you to focus on your lower body. You can also use it for various technical drills.

The board is made of a foam material called EVA, which is flexible, resilient, and lightweight. It provides plenty of buoyancy, and you can really lean on it while swimming. It’s very durable, so its longevity is a big plus. With cheaper and softer kickboards, I often found that after a while they started to crumble and get moldy, and swimming with them became very unpleasant. I think investing in a better kickboard is definitely worth it.

The kickboard measures 41 x 28.5 x 3 cm, and its size suits me perfectly.
It has a beautiful design; I really like the large “Arena” lettering on the right side of the board and the small logo in the lower left corner. The bottom of the board is black.
It can also be used as a kickboard, but you have to keep your legs very close together because it’s relatively narrow.

If you kick with the board, you’ll definitely give yourself a good workout, and if you do a series of butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle kicks during training, it’ll definitely leave you pretty sore.
For example, simply:
4x sprint (25m butterfly + 25m backstroke + 25m breaststroke + 25m freestyle). For some, leg training is a breeze—they can have a nice chat with another swimmer—while for others, it’s the hardest part of the workout.
You can hold the kickboard in several ways, and we’d like to show you a few of them for inspiration. For me, the most comfortable grip is the classic one through the two holes in the board or by the top edge.

I really recommend this kickboard to everyone—beginners, recreational swimmers, and definitely competitive swimmers too. The Arena kickboard is truly well-made and ranks among the best kickboards you can get. Will you give it a try?
What did I like most about the Arena board?
- Design
- Two holes in the board for a comfortable grip
- Color selection
- Sturdy material
- Durability + longevity
Final tip:
If you’re doing the breaststroke, don’t let the board rest on the water with its entire surface, but only with the edge. You’ll move faster that way.

It's not surprising that winter could be long, dark and, unless you spend it somewhere in the mountains, unpleasant. Because of the shorter days and lack of sunshine, our bodies are subjected to unwanted stress and the spring season should be about rebooting the body and mind. Swimming is, therefore, an ideal way to support the natural detoxification process and improve the overall well-being of the body.
Whether you go to the pool several times a week or just once a month, regular visits mean you should pay attention to your hair and skin. Everyone knows that chlorine is used to disinfect pool water - you can smell it the moment you step into the changing room - so we have put together a few tips on how to deal with this chemical.
The start of a new season - or the wave of New Year's resolutions - often brings many people back to the pool. Swimming is widely seen as a low-impact sport suitable for almost everyone. Even so, this is exactly the time when more people begin dealing with back pain, shoulder pain, or discomfort in the cervical spine.
Your first swim workouts can feel stressful. How should you swim? What does a proper session look like? Do I need any equipment, and how do I use it correctly? Those definitely aren’t the only questions that may pop into your head. Let’s take a look at what a workout like this can look like.
