Fins are the most essential piece of equipment—they’re a must-have in your mesh bag!
They can be used in any situation. It doesn’t matter if it’s the start of the season, during warm-ups, in the main set, or at the end of your swim.

Using fins increases your overall leg strength and endurance. Fins create far greater resistance than the foot alone. With a larger surface area, you have to exert more force, which is ideal for increasing overall leg strength and conditioning. Fins also help improve ankle flexibility, which is essential for swimmers.
This time, I put the Speedo Training Fin to the test. At first glance, these are beautiful fins that stand out thanks to their blue-and-orange design, but mainly thanks to their excellent features.

When purchasing fins, the main factor is their stiffness, or rather the stiffness of the material they’re made from. The stiffer the fins, the faster you’ll be. On a stiffness scale, the Speedo Training Fin would be a 5, with 10 being the stiffest.
They are suitable for both beginners and experienced swimmers looking for softer fins. With these fins, you can really push yourself, but at the same time, they aren’t overly stiff, which I personally really liked. And if you’re just starting to swim, I would definitely choose from softer or medium-stiffness fins. You’ll be gasping for air after the first 100 meters anyway.

Speedo fins have a closed heel. And although I was skeptical about closed-heel fins at first, the Training Fin completely exceeded my expectations. They’re really comfortable, and you can swim longer sets with them without your feet hurting. What’s more, even during long sets and strong kicks, the fins didn’t slip off my feet.
I highly recommend these fins to everyone! If only because it’s just fun to swim much faster than without them. They’ll help you in many ways, and you’ll definitely love them just as much as I do.
