How to take care of your wetsuit

When you've invested a lot of money in a wetsuit, it's good to know what you can do to prolong its life. We have some tips for you.

How to care for your wetsuit

When you buy a wetsuit, it's good to know how to look after it so that it lasts as long as possible. It is probably obvious to everyone that a wetsuit will need some repair and proper handling

Rinse your wetsuit with clean, lukewarm water after each use. It is important to remove salt, chlorine or other contaminants from outdoor water. If you use special products for your wetsuit, don't forget to rinse it thoroughly with clean, lukewarm water after cleaning.

How should I treat my wetsuit?

Never dry your wetsuit in direct sunlight! To preserve its elasticity and all its properties, dry the wetsuit folded in half, inside out, in a shaded, dry area. Don't forget to turn the wetsuit after drying the inside so that the outside can dry properly.

When taking the wetsuit off, don't rush and don't step on the trouser leg to speed up the removal (as we all do with our jeans) - it doesn't pay off in the long run and reduces the life of the material. Perhaps we don't need to remind you that wetsuits hate washing machines, irons and tumble dryers

One final tip:

Use SBR Trislide spray to make getting in and out of your wetsuit easier.
