The central snorkel Finis Freestyle enables the swimmer to accomplish lower head position and thereby optimalize the position of the whole body. The snorkel is suitable for crawl technique. If you use this snorkel when swimming butterfly stroke or breast stroke, the water can get inside the snorkel. The snorkel is designed to use the centrifugal force when turning and thereby decrease the penetration of the water. The snorkel doesn't have a dump valve and thus it forces the swimmer to force out the air and the water which penetrate into the tube. By this process the swimmer's lung capacity also increases.
This snorkel is fully compatible with a cardio extension Cardio cap for simulation of the height training.

Finis built its success off a monofin. The origin of the brand has been considered to be since 1993, but the founders had been involved in the development of the fins a few years earlier.
